When choosing what type of carpting you want to use, it is necessary to select a style that will both fit your style preferences as well as stand up to your level of usage. This will ensure the longevity of your carpet while still looking good. You want to be sure the style of carpet you select is comfortable under your feet and durable enough for the location it is being installed.
There are 4 different styles of carpet that you can use in your home.
Carpet Styles
Loop
Loop carpet has looped srands and a low profile for easy maintenance and a clean look. This style is great for high traffic areas due to its durability.
Pattern
Pattern style carpet uses a variation between loop and cut strands for a look that can provide intricate or simple patterns. This low-profile style handles traffic beautifully.
Texture
Texture construction carpet has long, crimped yarns for a casual look that works for any room. With higher pile for a super-soft feel, it’s no wonder that texture is our most popular style.
Frieze(Twist)
Twist construction carpet has long twisted yarns for a relaxed feel. Twist carpeting has a springy feel that provides a relaxing atmosphere to any room.
Carpet Installation
After you've decided on new carpeting, it is time to prep your home for the installation. There are some minor things we need from you to ensure the installation goes as quickly and painlessly as possible. Our carpet installation team has years of on-site experience installing all forms of carpet throughout Rex.
Pre Installation Procedures
If your selected flooring is a stock item, your installation could be scheduled immediately. If your carpet is not a stock item, our scheduler will contact you when your order has arrived and then schedule your installation.
Access to all areas being covered is required. Please make sure that we can have easy uninterrupted access to all of these areas on the scheduled installation day.
Please have the temperature for all installation areas set to at least 70 degrees or warmer (the warmer the better for acclimation purposes) for 24 hours prior to and 24 hours after installation.
We love your pets, but please make sure that on the day of the installation, your pets are safe and secure.
Furniture
We are not professional movers and this means we will not be held responsible for any damages to your furniture. It is however your responsibility to remove linen off of beds, anything under beds, on closet floors, guns, safes knickknacks, all breakable items, electronics, valuables, anything personal or of sentimental value and any low hanging clothes. If you are moving all furniture yourself, the entire installation area must be emptied of all furniture and the closet areas must be free. GA Flooring, INC cannot move or be responsible for moving large items of furniture (e.g., pianos, waterbeds, pool table, and grandfather clocks). We will not touch nor move any guns, safes, electronics, anything that is personal or of sentimental value.
